What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

Happy Friday, quilters! Priscilla has been one of CiL's longest running supporters. She's sent in many tops over the years. This week I have three of her awesome tops which were finished by our amazing quilters. 

This simple block made of batik fabrics is cheery and cozy and absolutely huge. As you can see, it barely fit on the swing at all. Both this quilt and the next are in the 100" sq range.

Another Friday, some more finishes! Courtesy of CiL's devoted long arm quilters. 

These were all assembled from blocks donated during the Jan 2022 block drive. The first 5 were assembled and quilted by Linda. I got some close ups to show off the cool pantos she used.

Happy weekend quilters! I've got a few pretty quilts to share from CiL's wonderful longer-armers. Linda sent in this beautiful batik quilt with one of her recent boxes of block drive quilts.

April showers bring May flowers, so they say. But it's May now and we're still having almost daily showers! I try not to complain because I know we'll probably have a dry summer soon enough, but boy does it get steamy when the sun comes out after a rain.

Wonderful Wendy made the quilts in this week's post.  Lovely bright colors to liven up the winter days! It's been properly cold here the past week, hopefully our one bad cold snap for the year.  

The first one is Bonnie Hunter's Scrappy Trips Around the World design done with monochrome blocks. 

I love these bright rainbow color schemes. Wendy had the perfect rainbow color fade border for this quilt.

Happy Friday quilters! I finally woke up at sunrise on one of my days off to take quilt pictures before the sun got blindingly bright and hot.  It's full summer already and it's only June! This post is full of quilt tops that were donated and sent to longarmers to be quilted, so they are mostly very large.

Today's post is a celebration of Wendy! A wonderful quilter with a longarm who has been volunteering to finish tops for Covered in Love for a while now. 

This purple twist top was made by Kathy B and quilted by Wendy. The two shades of purple work really effectively together. 

Wendy also sends in bonus quilts from time to time, like this patriotic quilt with a simple but very effective pattern.

This batik sampler quilt was made by a friend of Wendy's and hitched a ride in a box that was heading this way.

Happy Friday! I have another batch of finished quilts to show off. Have you noticed that we have more and more finished quilts coming in? The supplemented postage from Give Back Box is really helping I think.  

Halley O. sent in a box with an assortment of things, including these two quilts that just needed binding. I was able to quickly finish them. Both of them are really big! This second one is made with Amanda Jean Nyberg's "Good Neighbors" fabric line.

Some big quilts today along with some big news! This great big, beautiful top was pieced by Sherrill and quilted by Pam. 

The big news is that after 7 years Covered in Love is expanding into a second hospital! As you may have gathered from my comments before, there are two very large hospitals in Tyler and they sit side by side.  With everyone's generous support and many new people joining in we have now grown to the point that we needed to expand!

Hey everyone, sorry I missed posting last week! I usually at least give you a cat picture if I can't get a post together but the whole day completely snuck past me.  As compensation here's another photo Sundae dressing up in my Christmas gifts.

Some big cozy quilts this week from the long armers! Wendy quilted this one that Sherrill pieced. Perfect for the falling leaves and fall weather.

These colors are similar to the ones in our latest drive and I am loving how those blocks are looking at they come in. 

Priscilla pieced this pastel chain top and Pam quilted it.

And this blue and yellow top was pieced by Jeanine and quilted by Pam. 

Pam has an uncanny knack for perfectly flat, smooth bindings. I'm terribly impressed.

Happy Friday everyone, I hope you're all well.  To be honest I'm struggling. I'm just wrapping up two weeks of work at the hospital and will have some time off. We're neck deep in another Covid surge here in Texas and it all seems to pointless, knowing that we have safe and effective vaccines that have been available for EIGHT MONTHS.
